Food and Astrology

Daily, in our kitchen, we use various spices, cereals, pulses, vegetables, and fruits for cooking. Would you not be curious to know whether the spices we consume are related to astrology or not? Yes, they are related, and I will be sharing some knowledge on how our food consumption pattern affects our daily lives throughout this blog.

Well, let’s start and get to know more about how different types of cravings are related to the grahas:

We can design a balanced diet for ourselves to balance or reduce the impacts by judging the native craving.

Generally, it has been noticed that people having a sweet tooth have a weak Jupiter (also known as Guru), and this can be circumvented either by giving respect to their graha Laxmi or by eating yellow fruits, almonds, walnuts, or by offering flowers to goddess Laxmi/Gauri.

People who have extensive reading or writing work generally have a craving for tea or coffee. They need Ketu’s remedy. To overcome the effects of Ketu, the native either has to include basil, bayberry, or sage in their routine food to increase the positivity of Ketu and minimise its impacts. Propitiating is done by feeding horse gramme to birds and other animals.Sandalwood oil can also be used to cool the irritable energy of Ketu.

People who like to eat fried food have a weak Shani graha. To please Shani, they need to have a balanced meal at a decided time and do pranayama daily. Triphla, cloves, and black pepper work wonders for weak Shani.

People having a big appetite for non-vegetarian food suggests that their Rahu graha needs balance. Its remedy is to do a simple guru mantra like “Om Gurave Namaha” and offer their prayers to Lord Shiva.

Those who have weak muscles are found to add more salt to their food, which results in weak bones. They should include saffron, cardamom, cinnamon, carrot, orange, and rosemary.

Those who enjoy spicy foods will benefit from the Mangal remedy. To achieve a balance, they should consume carrots, coriander, cumin, and ginger.

People who like to have sour food. Their Venus requires healing.

If you are fond of dairy products such as milk, curd, paneer, etc, then you need the Moon remedy.

If you crave more junk food, then your Mercury needs a remedy.
